My family is from Nusco, Italy which is located in la Campagnia (mountain region) South of Rome. My parents (Giovanni & Caterina) grew up basically down the road from one another and in 1970 they married and moved to America. Twenty four years later, they started Collegeville Italian Bakery and have been baking bread ever since. They took a break from the retail business to focus on the wholesale business and after 7 years, my husband (Steve) and I are happy to bring back a retail store (Giovanni’s Italian Market) and to carry on all of our family traditions along the way.
